Is real rock maintaining potential? I'm not talking about the horseshit promoted as "rock" by the mainstream. No. Hell no! Seven out of the ten titles rounding up my 2nd quarter Top 10 Rock Albums are debut releases! I keep hearing daft statements: this or that is bringing rock back ... Breakingnews: rock music was always around, in the present! Unfortunately, for the last 3 decades, the people responsible for promoting music managed to dilute the term "rock" to cover music that has NOTHING to do with actual rock music! Don't believe me: take a look at the current mainstream "rock" charts. If you think the likes of Billie Eilish and Justin Biber represent "rock", well, I believe you are here, by mistake. I don't mean to offend anyone's taste in music; I simply find the loose use of the term "rock" to be deliberately distasteful.
If true rock is the name of your game, here we have ten prime examples of 2021's Q2 (hard) rock offerings! #RockAintDead Lets' make sure to keep it alive: please support the acts you love! (Ordered based on release date.)
